With the rapid development of China's economy, paper gypsum board as a new building materials light board in the main product, in the building decoration industry has been rapidly promoted and applied, the current domestic demand for supply situation, many enterprises are also actively planning to use domestic or the introduction of foreign advanced technology and equipment investment in the construction of gypsum board projects. This can not only promote the technical progress of China's gypsum board industry, promote the deep processing of gypsum resources, alleviate the shortage of supply in the paper gypsum board market, but also adjust the product structure of domestic wall material, promote the development of China's new building materials industry will play a very important role. However, how to view the current situation of the domestic paper gypsum board industry more comprehensively, find the problems existing in the product and industry, and correctly guide and support the healthy development of the gypsum board industry will be an important issue that we need to discuss at present. This paper intends to analyze the domestic market and industry status quo and problems existing in each link, and put forward opinions on the development of paper gypsum board in our country.

1 Current production status of domestic paper gypsum board

China began to develop gypsum board products in 1973, and designed and manufactured the first domestic production line with an annual output of 4 million m2 in 1975, which was put into production in Beijing Gypsum Board Factory in 1978. Subsequently, several sets of production units were designed and manufactured, of which 8 sets were scattered throughout the country and have been in normal production. In the early 1980s, China introduced an automatic paper gypsum board production line with an annual output of 20 million m2 from West Germany, using the equipment and technology of Babcock-Bsh-Knauf company, which was built and put into operation in Beijing New Building Materials General Factory in 1981.

Since 1990, the annual output of paper gypsum board in China has been 9.81 million m2 in 1990, 9.29 million m2 in 1991, 12.87 million m2 in 1992, 23.65 million m2 in 1993, and 30.1 million m2 in 1994. According to the production distribution in 1993, the two factories in Beijing produced a total of 16.81 million m2, accounting for 71%, Shandong Province 2,6907 million m2, accounting for 11.4%, and other provinces (Heilongjiang, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Guangdong, Shanxi, etc.), including the production of small gypsum board production lines, a total of 4.1624 million m2, accounting for 17.6%.
